Welcome to the registration process:
If you have an interest in participating in a Spirit journey, please go
through the following steps:
1. Take a look around this website to learn as much as you can about what is
involved. You may find many of your questions answered here.
2. Contact the nominated leader by email and provide a phone number and good times to
ring so that we can talk it all through with you to make sure you know what you
are joining in with.
3. After the phone call we will ask you to complete the registration form
provided below cut and paste into email and send it to your Journey leader. We will also ask you to sign the liability statement and
provide us with a deposit as soon as possible. Such a process will guarantee
you a place on a journey. No deposit means no guarantee of a place.

Acknowledgement of Responsibilities
I recognise that in coming on one of the Spirit Journeys I am coming to join a team of people in a group event that, by its nature, involves elements of risk and uncertainty.
I recognise that, because the experience is to connecting with remote places and communities, everything does not always run to plan and that weather, issues with vehicles or other factors can totally change things.
I recognise the need to be flexible. I am choosing to join a group of people sharing together a common experience.
I also recognise that this is not a tour or a packaged experience and that, while those bringing our group and equipment together also bring experience and leadership to the group, I am solely liable for my well-being.
I undertake to do my best to care for and share responsibility for all in our group.
I understand I will be fully participating in meal and campsite preparation and sharing all tasks.
Payment details
Talk to the Journey Leader about your payment options. If you are able to pay the full costs up front we would appreciate it as we
will need to make some arrangements beforehand. Otherwise, a deposit
will be useful to signify your interest and for us to hold a place for you.
In addition you will need to contribute to food and fuel costs, which we
estimate will be around $200 per person, depending on the actual distance and duration of the Journey. If you can bring this money with
you, food and fuel issues will be dealt with on a cost basis at the checkout or bowser.
For those with limited means:
We endeavour to keep our costs as low as possible. If you have issues in
covering the costs of a journey please do not automatically decide that it is
not possible for you to come. We have some limited sponsorship available to
enable people with limited means to participate. It is important to us that we
are making these journeys available to all people, not only those who can
afford it. So don’t be backward and talk with us about any issues you may have.
Conversely, if you would like to assist with sponsoring others to be involved,
we would be more than happy to ensure your support enables someone else to have
a significant experience.
